Summer Home Refresh

Going in and out of houses all the time really gives me some creative ideas for décor all year round. I love the minimalistic way wall to wall here at home, but I do enjoy decorating and styling each and every space. If you know me, you know that I love supporting our friends in the community and visiting local shops. Although home décor is not any different, sometimes it’s easier to shop from my phone as my girl’s nap or have quiet time. Amazon has changed so many things for us mamas. I’d love to share some unique finds that you may be surprised to find on Amazon and not see in everyone’s home.

Let’s start on the front porch. Did someone say layered rugs? I don’t know how I didn’t think of this on my own. It’s so simple and makes such a welcoming vibe, especially mixing colors and patterns. Here are a few combos that I love for this season-

Boho Rug under this Buffalo Check

Cabana Stripe under this Paisley Floral

These boxwood potted topiaries complete a porch refresh, for sure. Welcome Summer!

Another space I like to add to each season is the entryway. Like the porch, it has to have that “welcoming vibe”. I found some unique boho/farmhouse pieces to style. These are also perfect for fillers around the house and can be moved from room to room when it’s time to redecorate. Check out this style board. Maybe this will inspire your entryway or another space in your home.

Refresh Storyboard

Do you have room in your home you can dedicate to a beverage bar, for coffee or tea? Or even cocktails. I have seen these carts used on pool decks or even in the kitchen for produce or bread storage.

There are many options, but I love it for an (iced) coffee bar this summer, then can maybe turn it into a hot cocoa bar this winter. Here are some accessory ideas to add to the cart and make this space a favorite in the house for the entire family.

Lastly, what are your thoughts on built-ins for closed storage? I try not to clutter areas and have seen many variations of this look in homes over the last few months. Let’s be honest, anything that has doors helps hide the stuff that we have no room for elsewhere. Amazon has some great options for all living spaces. I think my favorite is this for the living room. A combination of open & closed and a very organized appearance.

The Summer is a great time to refresh your space, especially if you work from home and spend your days there. I am always thinking of ways I can update an area that feels new and fresh like summer feels to me.

Happy summer decorating.

Until next time…..
