Summer Fun in Indialantic

Hi there, HAPPY JUNE! I am excited to dip my toes in the sand and feature some amazing spots here on the beach in Brevard.

5th Avenue in Indialantic is a beautiful local spot on the Space Coast. From the row of unique shops & cafés to the brand-new community playground build, and of course, we cannot forget the sandy beaches! This time of year, it’s sure to be a hot tourist attraction as well.

When you’re in the area, make a quick coffee stop at Indialantic Coffee, located at 121 Fifth Ave. They have been open since December 2021 and have unique offerings that the locals (and visitors) are loving. From specialty coffees to lotus teas, spritzers & Italian sodas, and delicious pastries, their menu has a variety for you and the entire family to enjoy. Something that you cannot find on every coffee shop menu is an amazing collection of local artists. While you’re grabbing a coffee, you can shop some handmade jewelry, plants, and some fun, unique graphic tees all made by our friends in the community. Stop, sip, and shop local this summer!

Looking for family fun before or after the beach? Nance Park is located on the north side of the 5th avenue boardwalk parking. For years, it housed beach volleyball, pavilions, and a playground. Recently, the park underwent a huge renovation to honor Mikey Goodwin, a resident who courageously lost his battle to a rare form of brain cancer at the young age of 19. Now, it’s known as the Mikey Goodwin Playground. You can read more about Mikey and his family here. One of the cool things about this project is that it was a 100% volunteer effort. Families to community first responders coordinated the entire build to include fence picket sponsors. It’s beautiful and a fun (& safe) playground for the kids to enjoy all year long.

One last spotlight on the beach. Are you looking for a trendy, coastal vibe, boutique? Right down from Indialantic Coffee, you will find Coastal Bloom Boutique. They have unique home and gift ideas, casual & everyday clothing, accessories, and jewelry. It was just announced that they have some BIG changes coming to their storefront this week (renovating & changing things around). One thing that doesn’t change is their knack for putting the cutest outfits together, making it the easiest shopping experience, ever! You can see for yourself, here.

Until next time…..
